Email is for the following: business, invitations, general unspecific thoughts that don't really matter, e-cards, sharing a poem, book or article that I must read, suggesting I try a new hair care product, the one day secret sale at a boutique that I never would have known about, facebook notifications and the like...
If it's important, please pick up the phone. Call me. We can talk. Let's discuss it over soup and a salad.
If you need to write it, please do. Just drop it in a mailbox or slip it under my door. Email is not the way, there is nothing personal about it.

Exactly how did you expect me to take it? It seems people write emails regarding situations that should not be addressed in that manner so that they have the freedom to say what they want to say, how they want to say it, without being responsible for what they are actually saying/implying... one of the phrases above is always uttered after the fact.
If you cared about how I received the information you sent to my gmail address maybe you wouldn't have sent it. Perhaps you would have considered another means of communication.
The use of email is an extension of your passive aggressive behavior that I can't stand.
I'm not stupid, that's exactly how you meant it. I didn't take it the wrong way...
...and why do you think I want to read your extremely personal letter on my mobile device? Of course I thought it was a general email, so I opened it without thinking. I was not expecting to read what you wrote as I journeyed to my destination...
