I am featuring YES for several reasons. Those reasons include: MinDog booking that job(see 6:39AM Ramblings) and coming to the east coast making her officially bicoastal work wise and providing me with a fake Philly vacation- maybe I'll get to see Ms. Cyndi and we can talk about The Gatekeeper(YES), having some banging auditions scheduled for the week(YES), being surprised by random unexpected checks in the mail from a voice over done a while back(YES)...
Apparently I was also featuring YES last night. Oops.
I used to hate texting...now, I recognize the beauty of the text message. Some things need to be said quickly and immediately without interruption. Some things can’t be discussed out loud…that can make you realize your stupidity in the moment. Who doesn’t love an opportunity to abuse themselves later for the dumb action they just took by hitting send? Better you send it to a friend first...sometimes.
I must share.
Identity will not be disclosed for this one. Some things have been omitted to protect said identity.
Late last night I get a text from my Unidentifiable Friend(UF). This morning I’m wishing the comedy of it all didn’t cause me to give advice that she should have ignored. I hope she ignored it.
UF: If you introduce the guy you are currently dating to a friend and she asks if he's gay, is it okay to continue dating him when you have admittedly been wondering the same thing for weeks? I was always sure the answer is and should be NO but my pants are hot.
Metch: Only one way to find out!!!
UF: That’s exactly what I wanted you to say.
Metch: Say YES to life!
I never thought pants could be so hot one would be willing to ignore questionable sexuality…and I hope she doesn’t figure out the truth just when she thinks her pants are about to come off…oh buddy…hot pants are not for the weak. Get a hold of yourself UF.
Dear UF, I apologize for featuring YES last night. I should have just saved the feature for today. Text me... -Metch
