Last Night

We were ending a phone conversation.

I said, "hurry, make your way my way."


He said, "I am making my way your way."


Wow.


If we weren't speaking of getting to a location, if he wasn't like a brother and if that man didn't get on the train eating funky beef and broccolli, I'd still be imagining what his making my way his way could mean.
