Our First Blog Award!

Looky here, looky here- we just received our first blog award and boy oh boy, we are thankful!

Fellow blogger Nicole over at THE WORLD OF MY IMAGINATION nominated us for the Liebster Blog Award (according to her latest post Liebster means dearest or sweetheart in German) and we are definitely honored.   Thank you Nicole P!!! 

After scouring the internet for more information this is what we found:

Rumor has it that someone in Germany, possibly someone named Liebster, created an award for new bloggers to show appreciation and thanks for their blog, Liebster does indeed mean sweetheart in German, you can only receive the award from another blogger who has also received the award,  awards are to be passed on to blogs with 200 or fewer followers(some sites say 300 or fewer), once you give the award to a fellow blogger-you are to contact the blogger to let them know and you must copy  and paste the award on your blog.

We feel like we’ve officially become part of the blogging community.  You may be shaking your head as you mutter, “you blog so you were already a part of the blogging community.”  You are correct.  However, so many of the blogs we read and/or follow have a bevy of awards given to them by fellow bloggers and for a while now we have been asking/wondering, “how can we be down?”   We even considered creating one of our own…

Thanks to Nicole we don’t have to ask or wonder anymore.  We might still create one- just give us time.

Yeah, we feel more official… It’s nice to be recognized.  It’s nice to have a reader who thinks what we share is worthy of an award.  Mind you, we place little to no importance on awards but heck we love getting them.  Both of us will utter this same sentiment when we accept our Tony, Oscar, Emmy and Image awards…

Let’s get down to business- as you saw above this blogging award has rules.  Since we pride ourselves on being great citizens we follow all rules unless they have anything to do with grammar, traffic or life.  We will follow the same rules that Nicole followed since the rules vary a bit across the world wide web.

    1.      Thank the giver. 

    2.      Pass on the award to 5 other blogs with less than 200 followers.  Leave a comment and follow them.

    3.      Copy and paste the award on your blog

    4.      Hope your followers will spread love to other bloggers.
